Do you patronize bookstores and web sites to browse and buy, and libraries to browse and borrow? Do you talk about books with family and friends, organize them on shelves and in piles, read web pages and articles online, read ebooks on desktops and laptops and handheld PDAs, or write and share documents and presentations at work? Are you one of those truly brave people who participate in book clubs, keep a reading diary, and lend books to others? So we ask ourselves: What can we do to enhance our reading in addition to our buying? How can we help people enjoy reading, organize their books and ebooks, and share their thoughts with others? Our answer: online services that bridge the physical and the electrical; the corporeal and the ethereal; the actual and the virtual; the paperback and the cyberbook. And we're down with O.P.P. (other people's pages) - so we have handpicked links and services, some with useful interfaces. Specifically, we have published a free online virtual bookshelf for you to keep track of the books you own, read, bought, want, remember, imagine, and/or haven't got to. Please try it out and let us know what you think. We're not really sure what this is, yet. Can you please help us? Please email a note to us at readster@nusion.com and give us a clue. Thank you, Darien & Sasha |
